Grateful Brew
Neighborhood Coffee Shop and Tap Room
“It’s a family business.”
Owners Bob and Wendy Linn with Brother Danny Linn along with their children George, Joe and Jessica are all part of Greenville’s hippest coffee shop and taproom, the Grateful Brew.
Originally from the Florida Panhandle, the Linn family moved to Greenville for work opportunities and to pursue their family dream. George explains, “My family has always done hospitality well, and it’s always been a dream to open a restaurant with the family.”

Finding a building with parking was a challenge, but original location of Harm’s Sports Shop fit the vision. Renovations began immediately.
So why coffee? According to Joe, “…my sister has always been into coffee, so why don’t we make coffee in the morning.” And so the coffee was added, with a full espresso bar, pour over coffees, and nitrogen coffee.
What’s Nitrogen coffee?
Their “Off the Chain” Nitro coffee is cold coffee on tap that's infused with tiny nitrogen bubbles. The nitrogen effects taste and texture. Coffee lovers say taste wise, nitro coffee is creamier and richer than regular iced coffee. “With the nitrogen, it actually gives it a creamy head, like Guinness, which is a nitrogen infused beer which is why it’s so smooth.” describes George. Like regular coffee, the way folks choose to drink nitro coffee is personal. Some prefer the drink over ice, while others like it straight up. It’s definitely worth at try at, 10 ounces $3.50 and 16 ounces $5.50.
The Grateful Brew serves 20 different rotating craft beers on tap, growler fills, and wine. You can also purchase beer "To Go."

Wendy speaks from the heart when she tells us “We love that we got to meet so many artists, Jamie Bunney painter of Bunney Collectives; Jason Anderson, ornamental blacksmith of JHA Works; Kurt Krebs, renegade carpenter and Suzie and Stephen Bunn of Statice Floral and Gardener Bunn.”
It seems like everyone had a hand, included daughter, Jessica Linn Tooley, who created the beautiful stenciling work throughout the building.
