You see, cheesesteaks have been a part of the family for over 70 years. The original "pop-pop" himself, Albert “Inky” Harris, opened up his own steak shops in Philly during the 40’s and 50’s. “While growing up,” Stacey shared, “Dad would always say, one day we will have our own place just like 'pop-pop' did."
"This was a massive labor of love, so my dad could get what he wanted. He worked hard his whole life. I always wanted him to get what he talked about.”
From the freshly baked Amoroso rolls to the Herr’s chips, you cannot get any more authentic then this.
"I cannot wrap my mind around how we went from a dream to days when we can hardly keep up with the orders."
Since opening their doors two years ago, sales have exceeded 85,000 cheesesteaks. All of which have been enjoyed by locals as well as visitors.
So, don’t be shy and grab a place on the Inky band wagon. We promise you will not be disappointed.
Inky's Authentic Cheesesteaks and Hoagies are a rare breed, one we are grateful to have in the Upstate.
