Honky Tonk and Rockabilly Music can be a bit love it or hate it.
But in Greenville, SC there's a band who loves it so much, they're keeping country's past alive.

There's something about a Saturday Night. Time to put your glad rags on, head into town and scoot a boot to some magnificent music.

Regulars at the Tipsy Music Pub, The Note Ropers take their audience back in time to the Honkeytonk World of heartbreak and sawdust.

The band looks and sounds the part from their vintage instruments to the Porter Wagoner chic of their attire.

Handmade suits with Buffalo Nickel buttons...

...and Grand Ol' Opry mic stand placards put the finishing touches on the time capsule show.

Dr. Don Hunt, orthodontist by day, Rockabilly madman by night-- greets the fans as the show is about to begin.

Together since 2008, the gentlemen met as friends with a love for music, playing casual gigs at local bars before deciding to step it up.

An appreciation for Honkeytonk and Rockabilly, gave the band focus and their sound took off!

With such eclectic influences as The Replacements, The Rolling Stones, and Webb Pierce, The Note Ropers bring a real love and authentic sound to their retro playlist.

Stand-up bass, slide guitar, and some good old fashioned cowboy yodeling keeps the audience singing and dancing along.

Toe-tapping is mandatory.

A side-gig for these busy professionals, the band is nonetheless in demand, playing at least one show most weekends.

The band is a staple at the Albino Skunk Festival, a gig which led them to being tapped for the prestigious MerleFest in Wilkesboro, NC
