Locally Owned Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Restaurants in Greenville, SC

May is AANHPI Heritage Month, honoring the contributions of Asian American and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders to our history, society and culture. While various organizations have chosen themes for the month-long commemoration, one, in particular, resonated with our mission at Off The Grid Greenville. We like to keep things hyper-local around here, but we couldn’t ignore California’s statewide theme for 2023—"A Seat at the Table.”

On one hand, we believe food has the power to bring people of all cultures together, while on the other, the table provides opportunity for those seeking inclusion. We’re here to provide both.

The most obvious way we do that is by sharing and supporting our locally owned AA and NHPI businesses, like some of our favorite restaurants listed below.

What you can do:

We share this list at the end of May to encourage continued support for these restaurants throughout the year and because important cultural events, like Lunar New Year, Holi festivals and Sum Bar’s first APA Fest on June 4, 2023 don’t always land within the month.
