A Very OTGG Thanksgiving

A Very OTGG Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we invite you to join us in supporting our local grocers and restauranteurs. There’s a time and a place for moderation, and in our opinion, Thanksgiving is not the time. Use this guide as a resource for taking something off your list while ordering a feast from one of GVL’s iconic businesses. We encourage you to put your gluttony to good use this year and support a GVL family-owned business.

What are we drinking?

You’ll want to drink something bright and acidic to cut through all of the rich food on the plate. We have some sure-shot recommendations that are big on value and will pair will all the flavors on the traditional Thanksgiving table!

Bubulle Montlouis Sur Loire
The experts say to start with bubbles. We recommend Bubulle Montlouis Sur Loire. Its tastes like a $100 champagne for only $35 bucks. You can find this wine at various local wine shops.

Le Grotte Lambrusco Reggiano
This wine is filled with the flavor of fruit and fizzy bubbles. While it’s on the sweeter side, it’s balanced with a dry finish. You can buy a delightfully-delicious Lambrusco for just $5 at Trader Joe’s!

Sfera Rosso
Pictured here, the Sfera Rosso is best served chilled. This wine has nice cranberry undertones that cut all the rich flavors on your plate. Buy at Graft in Charleston or Community Tap or Winehouse in Greenville.
